Life Quotes from Shen: Rejection

“Have you had a failure or rejection? You could get bitter. That's one way to deal with it. Or...you could just get BETTER. What do you think?”
― Destiny Booze

Have you experienced rejection in your life?  Well you are not human if you don't.  When we were born as early as when we are young we experience rejection.  "I won't give you an ice cream," or "No, you can't go there."  Those where probably some of the words of your parents.  Every time we hear those words when we are young we for sure would cry or fall in a tantrum and create chaos in the house.

Rejection is a part of life and probably the most feared by everyone of us.  You are afraid that you won't be liked by someone you liked or loved, you are afraid that your boss would not approved of your proposal, you are afraid that the girl next door would not like the food you cooked.  Well, there is nothing wrong with that fear, it is quite natural but then how we react to those fear after we have experienced it is what matters most.

In my life, I had suffered many rejections already.  Yes, despite the good attitude, the looks, the intelligence and everything I was rejected many, many, many times and it hurts.  When someone you love so much suddenly says it's over, well at that point it means the end of the world for me.  I would think of a lot of ways to end the feeling.  Hmmmm... what would I do?  Should I just slit my throat or jump over a building or let a car hit me?

We are human and of course we have emotions.  So we should not be surprised when people who are rejected feel depressed, it is but the natural feeling in us.  Eventually, we would recover from it and move on and once we move on we can either learn from that rejection or commonly hate the person that rejected us, which is not good at all.

Hate begets hate.  I guess for some that is an ending feeling of overcoming rejection but isn't is us turning to be the same person that cause us so much pain?  Would we like that to be the course of us overcoming our own fear?  Well, the answer depends on you who are reading this.  I do not hold your mind nor your actions what's more important however is that whatever action you take to overcome the result of such rejection it should not be something that would cause pain to you or to another person.

Thanks for reading and God bless always!
