Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite You

"Don't let the bed bugs bite you," was a very common saying whenever someone goes to bed. It also seems to tell us that bed bugs are a regular part of our home although not an invited guest or not a part we wish to have at all. Again, this time I would like to share some of my experience with this when I was a young kid way back around 1980s. Okey, I am not that young anymore but come on it was not an issue right? Well, at best my experience with bed bugs was very annoying and the most annoying would be their smell. Whenever you squash a bed bug or even open their next they have this smell which everyone can't even stand a chance to smell. It was simply terrible.

For many months and even years I guess my grandmother who was thrifty would not listen that we buy a new bed because bed bugs was already there. She said that it was just a waste of money thus everyday we have to kill the bugs and have a stomach to face that awful odor. Then it came that we are developing some sort of warts caused by these bugs and that is the time in which she is finally convinced that it as not worth saving money and letting the bed bugs sleep with us.

Thus end the stint of those bugs living in our home and saying good bye for good. So from now on cleanliness was observed and the beds are cleaned daily in order to avoid another infestation... after all a healthy home means a healthier and more pleasant personality.

Just a trivia... The bed bugs (or bed bug) is an insect of the family Cimicidae that lives by hematophagy - feeding on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded hosts. Its name comes from its preferred habitat: mattresses, sofas, and other furniture. Although not strictly nocturnal, bedbugs are mainly active at night.

So if you have bed bugs at home then better start thinking how to get rid of them before they get rid of you.
